Americans Surpassed the 3.5% Protest Threshold With Single Largest Coordinated Protest in U.S. History
12.1 Million Protestors: History Shows No Government Can Survive These Numbers
Yesterday, over 12.1 million (and still counting) people took to the streets across the U.S. This was the largest coordinated protest in our history!
That’s over 3.62% of the American population: a number that history says can’t be ignored: Even if the mainstream media won't mention it.
The 3.5% Rule:
Political scientist Erica Chenoweth studied hundreds of movements over the past century. She found that every nonviolent movement that engaged at least 3.5% of the population succeeded in creating major change.
That’s not a theory. That’s data.
“No campaigns failed once they’d achieved the active and sustained participation of just 3.5% of the population. And many succeeded with far less.” — Erica Chenoweth, Harvard University
Why 3.5% Is So Powerful
Because when millions act together, not just vote, but disrupt: the system can’t absorb it. It shakes. It breaks. It must respond.
Governments rely on the consent, silence, or distraction of the governed.
When 3.5% stop cooperating, that consent dissolves.
Examples Where the 3.5% Rule Worked:
Serbia (2000)
The Otpor! movement nonviolently mobilized against dictator Slobodan Milošević. With only about 3.5% of the population participating in strikes, rallies, and symbolic disruption, his regime collapsed.
Philippines (1986)
The People Power Revolution ousted dictator Ferdinand Marcos in just four days of sustained, nonviolent protest. Roughly 2 million people (out of 55 million) took part: around 3.6%.
East Germany (1989)
Weekly nonviolent protests grew past 3.5% of the population. Within months, the Berlin Wall fell and the regime collapsed.
Sudan (2019)
A disciplined, decentralized, nonviolent protest campaign pushed a brutal military regime out after decades in power. Once it crossed the 3.5% threshold, momentum was unstoppable.
What This Means for the U.S.
We more than crossed that line.
We are officially in territory that no regime in modern history has withstood without change.
That doesn’t mean instant victory. But it means we are no longer ignorable.
👑 No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
We’re not asking anymore. We’re showing up.
And now that we’ve surpassed 3.5%: we hold the line. We keep building. We keep going.
History says they can't stop us. Are you in?
